Wix is quick with an attractive getting started fee, but there are number of good reasons we don’t recommend using Wix to create you website:
- No access to your files.
- No control over your own website.
- No access to add-ons or additional features without fee’s.
- Tons of “fine print”
- No FTP.
- No file hosting.
- No control over Domain Pointing (DNS)
- Free options are useless.
- “Terrible” customer service.
- Flawed editor

Furthermore:
- Their software is proprietary. Supporting open source software is a good thing.
- Support local or within your network buy hiring and awesome web designer.
- You’re directly supporting a large faceless corporation.
